WipeOut-inspired racing game Redout 2 is now free on Epic Game Store

WipeOut-inspired racing game Redout 2 is now free on Epic Game Store

For those who don’t already know, every Thursday, Epic Games makes a new game, or sometimes, two games are available for gamers to download and add to their libraries for free. Whatever you’ve redeemed is then yours to keep, to play or to add to an ever-growing list of games you mean to play but probably never will.

This week, gamers can not only secure a racer worth $20 from Epic, but also pick up content for a free D&D game worth $100, available until the 20th of June for you to download.

Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms

Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms is a Dungeons & Dragons strategy management game uniting characters from throughout the D&D multiverse into a grand adventure.

The game has a Mostly Positive review and lets players unlock champions across the Dungeons & Dragons multiverse, including fan-favourites from Forgotten Realms novels and campaign adventures. These champions are also featured in actual plays like Acquisitions Incorporated and Oxventure, shows like 1 For All, and video games like Baldur’s Gate III. Epic is giving away $100 worth of in-game content for Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms this week. This includes:

  • An exclusive skin (Duke Rabenwacht of Baldur's Gate)
  • An exclusive servant (Quirk the Homunculus)
  • 16 Thellora gold chests with two guaranteed shiny equipment cards
  • 16 Briv gold chests with two guaranteed shiny equipment cards
  • 16 Farideh gold chests with two guaranteed shiny equipment cards
  • 16 Duke Ravenguard gold chests with two guaranteed shiny equipment cards
  • 16 Wyll gold chests with two guaranteed shiny equipment cards
  • Strengthening potions for 2 weeks (1 x Potion of the Gem Hunter and 1 x Potion of the Gold Hunter)

Redout 2

Redout 2 is a tribute to the classic arcade racing games of many of our childhoods. Players will be racing through the dystopian wastelands of a semi-abandoned Earth where the game’s name is speed.

Redout is more like an intermediate between F-zero and WipeOut, which is not bad to play - but if you are looking for the specific WipeOut flavor then there's BallisticNG, which was originally a fan-made WipeOut game before becoming its own thing and comes with massive mod support to the point you may have to take a double take on this custom track.

The game has a Very Positive review and offers players impossible speeds in exhilarating futuristic races across an extensive single-player campaign and competitive multiplayer.

If Redout 2 or Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms sound like games you want to experience, remember to head over to the Epic Games Store and add them to your library before the 20th of June. And as always, remember to utilise our comparison tool to secure the finest deal on your upcoming favourite game.
