AMD teases mid-range Ryzen 5 7500X3D with Zen 4 & 3D V-Cache features

It appears that AMD is preparing to significantly broaden its X3D CPU range. Recently, the Ryzen 7 9850X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 CPUs were leaked. Now, another lower-tier Zen 4-based X3D CPU has emerged, namely the Ryzen 5 7500X3D.

@momomo_us discovered this new Ryzen CPU on X, and it has been listed by the UK retailer Westcoast. This CPU is believed to be a 6-core processor based on Zen 4.

In terms of specifications, AMD’s forthcoming Ryzen 5 7500X3D is expected to debut with 6 cores and 12 threads of Zen 4 processing capability, incorporating AMD's proprietary 3D V-Cache technology. We anticipate a total of 96MB of L3 cache, comprised of 32MB of standard cache and 64MB of 3D V-Cache. The 7500X3D is likely to feature lower CPU clock speeds when compared to the 7600X3D, yet will share the same TDP, with the 7600X3D being capable of boosting up to 4.7GHz under a 65W TDP.

AMD is actively expanding its Ryzen 7000 X3D CPU family, which already includes the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and Ryzen 5 7600X3D, alongside the upcoming Ryzen 5 7500X3D, all utilizing the earlier Zen 4 architecture. Meanwhile, the more recent Ryzen 9000 X3D processors consist of the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, Ryzen 9 9900X3D, Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and Ryzen 5 9600X3D.

AMD is anticipated to introduce even more powerful variants of its Zen 5-based X3D CPUs during CES 2026 in just a few months, with the rumored Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 and Ryzen 9 9900X3D2 processors featuring even greater V-Cache stacked above.
