Crimson Desert is an open-world action-adventure from the creators of Black Desert Online. The game tells the story of a group of mercenaries struggling to survive in a world torn apart by war. You will play as Macduff, son of Martinus, the leader of a group of hardened mercenaries. Pywel is a vast continent divided into several regions. The King of Demeniss, Unifier of Lands, lies in a coma, and the power vacuum has sparked a rebellion by those who suffered under his rule. Everyone is trying to take advantage of the situation, and there are plenty of opportunities to gain power if you are smart and strong enough. But the journey is dangerous, and you will need to find friends who will support you in your endeavors and gain their trust if you want to survive in this world.

On the gameplay side, Crimson Desert feels very similar to Black Desert Online, and it features thrilling combats in which you will fight against a wide range of enemies, including humans and mythical beasts of all kinds. The game offers you an impressive range of customization options and weapons to wield in combat.

With high-detail graphics and lots of action, Crimson Desert is an epic adventure in a medieval fantasy world that tells the story of a saga written in blood.

Crimson Desert really impressed me with the sheer size of its world. As I explored Pywel, I constantly had the feeling that I'd never see the end of it. Each region has its own identity, its own landscapes, its own secrets, and above all a huge amount to discover. Whether it's hidden villages, unexpected events or simply places that make you want to stop and admire, the game really rewards curiosity. What I felt was a real sense of freedom. I could set off in a direction with no specific objective and come across something unexpected every time. It was this kind of exploration that hooked me, more than the story itself.

This game is a real eye-catcher, offering incredible freedom and beauty. In terms of combat, the game offers quite a few different styles, encouraging the player to change depending on the enemy in front of him or her, perhaps? Or to try and please everyone. In short, a promising game.

Crimson Desert has been a pleasant surprise. Its open world has enough diversity and life of its own that I never feel bored or aimless. The combat, exploration and customization mechanics are well integrated and encourage experimentation. Even the simplest tasks feel fun and useful. It's definitely one of the titles I'm enjoying the most lately.

No mola. El combate luce fluido y satisfactorio
It feels like playing Crimson Desert is like entering a huge adventure where every decision counts. The main story seems solid, but the spin-offs and small side plots I've found to be errand boys. Not cool. The combat looks fluid and satisfying

I spent less than 10 hours on Crimson Desert, mainly because it was released at the same time as the PC version of Death Stranding 2, which clearly monopolized all my attention. Despite this limited time, I was still able to form an initial opinion. The first thing that stands out is the beauty of the game. The landscapes are truly impressive, with natural lighting and richly detailed environments. There's a real sense of technical and artistic effort, and it's a pleasure to simply wander through this universe. On the other hand, I have a harder time with the art direction. I'm not really convinced by the mix between a classic medieval universe and futuristic technological elements. I think it breaks the immersion a little. As for Kliff, I didn't find him particularly interesting. He lacks a bit of charisma for my taste, and I found it hard to get attached to him. I'd clearly have preferred the presence of a real character creator.

Without having played it, I'm rather divided on Crimson Desert. On the one hand, everything I've seen in trailers and gameplay on Twitch exudes ambition: a huge, lively world full of activities and boss battles that really make you want to play. But at the same time, it seems too busy, as if the game wanted to do everything without necessarily mastering it all. The battles look fun, but also a bit messy, and the story, so far, hasn't really made an impression on me. I have the impression of a game capable of both the best and the worst. For the moment, I'm waiting for a discount on the PS store before embarking on my adventure.

I haven't played yet but I can see that Crimson Desert surprises with its depth. From managing your camp to epic combat, everything seems to be well thought out. The world doesn't stay static: you can feel things change as you progress. It looks like a game you will want to come back to again and again because there is always something new to do or discover.

I tested it at my friend's place and it's really nice, like Enshrouded but more advanced, I like the BIG open world where you can just explore for hours.

What I value most about Crimson Desert is the balance between action and narrative. It's not just an empty sandbox: the missions make sense and the characters you encounter enrich the story. I like how each area of the map has its own setting and challenges, which makes moving on to new regions always exciting and worthwhile.
