AMD has officially revealed its mainstream RDNA 4 Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card

AMD has formally introduced its Radeon RX 9060 XT at Computex, claiming to offer gamers the best value for performance in the under $350 GPU segment. With this launch, AMD aims to outperform Nvidia’s RTX 5060 series by providing superior hardware at more affordable prices.

The Radeon RX 9060 XT will come in two variants: a $349 model with 16GB of memory and a $299 version with 8GB. This positions AMD’s RX 9060 XT squarely against Nvidia’s 8GB RTX 5060 and 8GB RTX 5060 Ti.

According to AMD, across 40 titles, it holds a 15% advantage in price/performance over Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti 8GB. Both GPUs carry an MSRP of $349, giving AMD the upper hand. With double the memory of its Nvidia equivalent, AMD’s GPU is a more appealing choice for playing the latest PC titles.

At 1440p, AMD asserts that it has a significant lead in performance over Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti. This advantage may stem from the memory limitations associated with Nvidia’s RTX 5060 8GB. Unfortunately, AMD has not provided any comparisons with Nvidia’s pricier RTX 5060 Ti 16GB.

The AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT can essentially be viewed as an RDNA 4 iteration of AMD’s Radeon RX 7600 XT. It boasts improved clock speeds and enhanced performance per compute unit thanks to AMD’s RDNA 4 graphics architecture. Furthermore, it includes faster GDDR6 memory and a complete 16x length PCIe 5.0 interface.
