Asus teased ROG G1000, bringing AniMe Matrix flair to gaming desktops

Asus teases ROG G1000 gaming desktop with AniMe Matrix ahead of CES 2026

Asus has announced its intention to unveil a new gaming tower at CES 2026 in Las Vegas next month. In the meantime, it has hinted that the ROG G1000 will feature the next evolution of the AniMe Matrix from previous ROG Zephyrus laptops. On January 5th, PC gamers can expect to see the latest ROG PC case from ASUS, which the company claims is “spinning at the heart” of it.

The teaser presents an X-ray-style image revealing what looks like an X-shaped component within the chassis. Additionally, the video displays the term “AniMe Holo." It appears that AniMe Holo represents an upgraded version of the AniMe Matrix displays used in various ROG Zephyrus laptops. By utilizing a rapidly spinning array of LEDs, the displays can rotate and create a “holographic” effect. To an observer, this image seems stable even though it’s produced by a spinning array of LEDs. This innovation may enable ASUS to project an image within a PC case while still allowing visibility of the internal hardware.

There are understandably many questions regarding how the display will function. A large, fast-spinning uncovered fan positioned in close proximity to sensitive PC components raises concerns. Perhaps the blades will be enclosed between two glass panels.

Currently, the company has disclosed preliminary information about an upcoming gaming tower case. At this point, it is unclear whether this will be merely a case or an entire desktop system. Judging by the ROG G700 (2025), it seems likely that the ROG G1000 will be the latter rather than the former.

Asus has yet to announce any technical specifications. We still do not know if the ROG G1000 will be a concept item or a product available for purchase. Should it be put up for sale, expect it to come with a significant price tag.

ASUS ROG’s upcoming gaming tower shows just how bold and creative high-end PC builds can be - but great gaming doesn’t have to stay on the desk.
