Xbox Series X25 price and release date reportedly revealed in new leak

Xbox Series X25 pricing and release date reportedly leak ahead of launch

Microsoft revealed the Xbox Series X25 back in June as part of the Xbox brand's 25th anniversary celebrations. The special-edition console made its debut during the Xbox Games Showcase, and now its rumored price and release date appear to have surfaced ahead of Microsoft's official announcement.

According to leaker Billbil-kun, who has a history of accurately revealing hardware and pricing details early, the Xbox Series X25 will reportedly cost €899.99 in Europe and $899.99 in the US. For context, the standard 1TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive currently sells for €799.99 in Europe. If the leak is accurate, that would put the anniversary model at a €100 premium purely for its limited-edition design.

The Xbox Series X25 is being produced specifically to commemorate 25 years of Xbox and will reportedly be sold exclusively as a limited-edition model. That could make it a particularly appealing collector's item, especially if Microsoft produces relatively few units. A matching Xbox controller is also planned, with the gamepad set to be included with the console while also being sold separately. Billbil-kun reportedly revealed pricing and release details for the controller earlier this week as well.

Visually, the Xbox Series X25 stands out with a translucent shell inspired by the original Xbox's iconic green aesthetic. A special 25th anniversary logo is also placed on the front of the console. Underneath the new exterior, however, there doesn't appear to be any hardware upgrade, with the anniversary model reportedly retaining the same specifications as the standard 1TB Xbox Series X.

The biggest detail from the latest leak is the alleged release date. Billbil-kun claims Microsoft plans to launch the Xbox Series X25 on Friday, November 27. More information could reportedly arrive during Gamescom 2026, where Microsoft is expected to have a significant presence.

For now, though, the price and release date remain unofficial. Microsoft has yet to confirm either detail, so they should be treated as rumors until the company makes its announcement.
