Double Dragon Revive will bring the iconic arcade series back
Anyone who is old enough to remember arcade saloons has probably spent many hours in one of them playing Double Dragon. The iconic beat 'em up video game series created by Technōs Japan allowed you to fight to your heart's content as you traversed a 2D scenario. In the game, you would take control of either William "Billy" Lee or his brother James "Jimmy" Lee to battle against a wide range of opponents, including gang members and fearsome bosses.
The first Double Dragon was a success and plenty of sequels appeared later, first for arcade machines and later on for consoles and PC. Titles like Double Dragon Trilogy, Double Dragon 4, and Super Double Dragon are good examples of the franchise's evolution. Now, it seems that another title will join the long list of Double Dragon video games.
The brothers are back
The fans of Double Dragon will be glad to know that the series is coming back with a new installment, Double Dragon Revive, which has been announced recently by Arc System Works. The development is in the hands of Yuke's, a studio that is well known for its work with many wrestling video games, like WWE 2K19 and AEW: Fight Forever. You can watch the announcement video right below.
Double Dragon Revive promises to offer an experience as engaging as the original, with simple and intuitive gameplay, strategic action, and modern graphics in 3D that will reignite the fire in the hearts of the fans. The change in the graphics style will surely appeal to the fans who would love a new opportunity to join the Lee brothers in a brutal all-out battle. It's a foolproof formula that has worked for years for many reasons and now it's back for the joy of the fans.
Double Dragon Revive will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC and it's due out sometime next year. Of course, when the time comes you will find the best deals to preorder the game with our comparator.
