Epic Games Store’s latest free offers are ideal for Halloween season
The Epic Games Store, a digital platform for video game distribution created and operated by Epic Games, offers a carefully curated selection of games for PC and Mac, often featuring exclusive titles and significant discounts.
This week, the Epic Games Store is providing not one, but two free games, marking an upgrade from the typical weekly offerings where shoppers usually receive just one game or a game along with some DLC. Replacing last week's free title, Moving Out, the store now has Ghostwire: Tokyo and Witch It available for claim. Effective immediately, any user with an Epic Games Store account has seven days to secure these two games and permanently add them to their library.
Ghostwire: Tokyo, developed by Tango Gameworks, narrates the haunting story of Akito Izuki, whose body gets possessed by a spirit just as the entire city of Tokyo vanishes. Only eerie apparitions wander the streets and buildings, while cats and dogs serve as helpful creatures (and deities) to the player. While it might appear to be a horror game, it primarily functions as an action title where you exorcise supernatural beings. The roguelite mode called The Spider's Thread is also featured.
Next in line is Witch It, which is a multiplayer prop hunt game involving a battle between hunters and witches. Players take on the role of witches who can change into various objects scattered across the map and hide before a round commences. Afterward, the hunter players take their turn to seek out and eliminate the concealed witches.
Once you've claimed these games, they are yours to keep permanently. This is not a free trial or demo; it is a full, free download of each game. All you need is an Epic Games Store account, which is free of charge. Keep in mind that Epic Games' current free game promotion will last until November 7.
And as always, remember to use our comparison tool to find the best deal for your next favorite game.
