Four New Pokémon have been revealed for Pokémon Sword and Shield
The developers of Pokémon Sword and Shield, shown for the first time at the beginning of the year, are gradually giving us more and more information about the content. After revealing the release date of November 15, 2019, and the last fully dedicated Nintendo Direct last month, a new video has just been released. First, we discover four new Pokémon. As a reminder, unlike Pokémon Let's Go Eevee / Pikachu, which focused only on the first hundred pokémons, Pokémon Sword and Shield will introduce this time new pokémon to catch and train. And these four pokémon in question are:
- Alcremie, Fairy-type, with the Sweet Veil ability
- Yamper, Electric-type, with the Ball Fetch ability
- Rolycoly, Rock-type, with the Steam Engine/Heatproof abilities
- Duraludon, Steel/Dragon-type, with the Light Metal/Heavy Metal abilities
If you remember the last Nintendo Direct, we discovered Dynamax, a skill that will allow pokémon to become huge, and significantly increase their power by transforming their abilities, but also to influence terrain and statistics. We learn that the Dynamax skill will also have a special form called Gigamax. Unlike the first skill, Gigamax will not be available for all pokémon. Rarer, but also more powerful, it will allow pokémon to change their shape, in addition, to become gigantic, and also to get Gigamax power. This phenomenal gain in power will be reserved for only a few specimens of pokémons. We know that Alcremie will be part of the pokemon that can make use of it, as well as Drednaw and Corviknight.
We also discovered new characters in this video, who will be part of the Arena Challenges, President Shehroz and her assistant Liv. Also Faïza, the combat type expert who will be in Pokémon Sword, and Alistair, the spectrum type expert in Pokémon Shield.
