Epic Games Store makes a brand-new party game free for a limited time

Grab a brand-new party game free for a limited time on Epic Games Store

The Epic Games Store has refreshed its weekly freebie lineup, which means the Clone Drone in the Danger Zone giveaway has now wrapped up. Taking its place is Prop Sumo, now available for PC players to claim and keep permanently, as long as it’s added to your library within the next seven days.

The game is developed by Barrel Roll Games, the studio behind the multiplayer hide-and-seek title Witch It. This time around, however, the focus shifts to a chaotic party brawler experience. Instead of sneaking around, players will be battling it out in arenas, aiming to rack up the highest score.

Prop Sumo leans into its comedic concept, featuring absurd fights where players control everyday objects rather than traditional characters. Expect over-the-top clashes between things like barrels, watermelons, and other props, all bouncing and colliding in unpredictable ways. The game supports local PvP, making it a solid choice for couch multiplayer sessions with friends.

There’s a decent amount of variety on offer as well. Players can pick from more than 40 different props, each capable of using one of 22 unique items. These range from explosive tools to magnetic gadgets, adding an extra layer of chaos and strategy to each match. Arenas can host up to eight players at once, and a built-in server browser helps you quickly find or set up games.

This particular giveaway is a notable one, as Prop Sumo is launching on the same day it’s being offered for free. That gives Epic Games Store users the chance to jump in at no cost, while players on other storefronts still need to pay for it.

The Prop Sumo giveaway will remain active until April 16, giving players a full week to claim it before another free title takes its place. As usual, Epic continues to rotate these offers regularly, so there’s always something new around the corner.
