Granblue Fantasy: Relink will have a demo available starting on January 12

Video game publisher and developer Cygames, Inc. has announced that a demo version of Granblue Fantasy: Relink will be available for download on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 platforms on January 12, 2024. The full version will be released on February 1, 2024.

Players who are eager or reside on the planet's eastern side can already download the demo and experience three modes of the upcoming Action RPG Granblue Fantasy: Relink. This is not to be confused with the recently released Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, which is also part of the franchise but is a fighting game.

These are the three modes available in the Granblue Fantasy: Relink demo.

Story Mode: Players can experience a portion of the main story. Those who complete the mode will receive a reward that can be redeemed in the full version of Granblue Fantasy: Relink.

Mission Mode: Players can progress through a selection of three playable missions alone or with other players in online multiplayer mode. By completing this mode, players will also receive rewards that can be redeemed in the full game. So, the secret is to play the demo and complete all the content.

To enjoy the demo, the game will provide eleven characters in mission mode, each with their own unique fighting style. They are Gran, Katalina, Rackam, Io, Charlotta, Ghandagoza, Narmaya, Lancelot, Siegfried, Yodarha, and Zeta (my current main!).

Tutorial Mode: A self-explanatory mode that will serve to learn the game's basic controls. Here are some details the publisher shared about the demo:

The content in the demo may differ from the full game.

  • Game data cannot be saved or loaded in the demo.
  • Progress made in the demo is not transferred to the full game.
  • Demo rewards cannot be redeemed in the full game if the saved data to clear the demo is lost or deleted.
  • There are no plans for a demo version on Steam

On January 11, the Granblue Showcase: Part 2 aired, in which more of the story and missions of Relink were introduced. The showcase also revealed new information, such as tense and high-difficulty missions for more advanced players, and addressed future content updates after the launch.

Granblue Fantasy: Relink is based on the booming mobile game of the same name. After gaining fame, the franchise released animes and console games, including Granblue Fantasy Versus, the sequel Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising, and now the aforementioned action RPG.
