Hatsune Miku is coming to Crypt of the NecroDancer

Crypt of the NecroDancer is a roguelike rhythm game by Brace Yourself Games. The game takes fundamental elements of a roguelike dungeon exploration game and adds a beat-matching rhythm game set to an original soundtrack written by Danny Baranowsky, best known for his work on games such as Canabalt, Super Meat Boy, and The Binding of Isaac. Crypt of the NecroDancer was initially released for Linux, OS X, and Windows in April 2015, co-published by Klei Entertainment. It later made its way to the PlayStation 4 and Vita in February 2016, Xbox One in February 2017, and Nintendo Switch in February 2018.

An expansion to the game, titled Crypt of the NecroDancer: AMPLIFIED, was released on January 24th, 2017. Following that, a DLC named Crypt of the NecroDancer: Synchrony was released, which features three new characters. Brace Yourself Games has also teased a sequel to Crypt of the NecroDancer titled "Rift of The NecroDancer," scheduled for release in 2024.

Recently, on April 4, 2024, die-hard fans of Crypt of the NecroDancer were once again delighted to hear the exciting news that the famous Japanese Vocaloid, the one and only Hatsune Miku, will officially join the game with her trusty leek, iconic outfits, and dazzling dance moves:

This brand new DLC will add Hatsune Miku to the roster of playable characters in the game, bringing with her incredibly unique skills that promise to face down any enemy that comes her way with style. The DLC also introduces 15 classic Hatsune Miku songs into the game, including two new tracks created by Danny Baranowsky. Additionally, when playing as Hatsune Miku and hosting an online multiplayer session (SYNCHRONY), players without the DLC can join the lobby and play alongside with other characters:
