It’s your job to take back Hell from the forces of Heaven in the roguelike deck-builder Monster Train. A nominee of the Games Awards 2020, Monster Train puts you on the eponymous railway to Hell in an effort to restart the fires of the underworld, but Heaven is on the warpath to stop you. You need to build up your deck to fend off the invaders and take back your realm.

Build up your deck. Select your champion, recruit units and upgrade them to make them stronger, and obtain passive bonuses that will help you defend your pyre. Choose from over 220 cards and 10 starter decks. 

Choose between five clans. Their different abilities will be the difference between victory or defeat. Choose between the Hellhorned Demons, who grow more powerful with rage; the Melting Remnant whose disposable wax units die quickly but revive as stronger creatures; the Umbra, who cannibalize other creatures called morsels to gain power; the plant-like Awoken, who can heal and deal damage when attacked; and the aquatic Stygian Guard, who can cast spells and cause damage over a period of time.

Unique deck-building gameplay. You fight on a four-level vertical battlefield as the enemy forces come at you in waves. Your goal is to keep them from attacking the pyre at the top-most floor but you may only summon monsters on the lower three levels. 

Multiplayer modes. Play in Hell Rush mode, where eight players fight in rapid real-time,  choose Daily Challenge for a new challenge modified by mutators, or create one of your own.
