DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO official release date announced

The most anticipated Dragon Ball game of the year, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, has finally revealed its release date. Since the announcement of the game last year by Bandai Namco, heralded as the successor to the Budokai Tenkaichi series, and the release of two character trailers, Masters and Apprentices and Fused Warriors, fans have been eagerly awaiting the official release date. In the game latest Fused Warrior trailer, we have information that the game would appear at the Summer Game Fest 2024, and as expected, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero made an appearance with a new trailer officially announcing the game’s release date: October 11, 2024, for all platforms.
 

The trailer begins by showcasing several characters from the game’s roster, including Bardock, Majin Buu, Cell, Vegeta, and Ultra Instinct Goku, among others. We also get a glimpse of the game’s story mode. Interestingly, it appears that players can experience unique events separate from the original Dragon Ball storyline. Following the tagline "Reclaim new possibilities," the trailer shows a scenario where players, as Goku, can choose to either fight alongside Piccolo in the Saiyan Saga to save Gohan or fight alone. The trailer then reveals what happens when players choose to fight alone: we see Krillin defeated and severely injured, followed by Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan to battle Bardock, who is in his Great Ape form, deviating from the original story where Goku transforms during his fight with Frieza.

The trailer concludes with preorder bonuses for the game. Players will get early access to six fighters in the game, including Gogeta and Broly with their full transformations, along with a mysterious, yet-to-be-revealed character.
