Final Fantasy XIV continues to expand after Endwalker

The launch of the Endwalker expansion for Final Fantasy XIV caused some problems due to the game's huge fan base. Square Enix has solved all of them by now, and everything is back to normal in the most played MMORPG worldwide; therefore, the developers can focus on adding even more new content to the game. Final Fantasy XIV Director Naoki Yoshida has detailed the new features coming to the game with Patch 6.1, a free update that will add a new storyline, a challenging raid, and more.

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 6.1

Titled "Newfound Adventure", the video gives us insight into what Final Fantasy XIV players will enjoy starting April 12. The Warrior of Light is leaving aside the concerns about the fate of the world to focus on more mundane problems in a new scenario questline. The patch will also introduce a new 24-player Alliance Raid that will delve into the secrets and motivations of the Twelve, a mysterious pantheon of Gods that has been worshipped in Eorzea since ancient times. Level 90 characters will have the opportunity to fight a stronger version of Ultima Weapon on a new Unreal challenge, and a new extreme Trial, The Minstrel's Ballad: Endsinger's Aria, will be open for those valiant enough to attempt it.

On the PvP side, Patch 6.1 will add a new gameplay mode, Crystalline Conflict, that pits two teams of five players and challenges them to push a crystal into their opponent's goal. Short matches, casual gameplay style, and low pressure for those that just want some PvP fun. Players will have another chance of getting the PvP gear set inspired by the Japanese TV show GARO.
