Multi-frame generation arrives with Intel XeSS 3 in updated Arc driver

Intel has released a new WHQL-certified graphics driver, version 32.0.101.8425 / 32.0.101.8362, for its Arc and Core graphics products. The update introduces new hardware support and technologies, and is compatible with Alchemist and Battlemage GPUs, as well as Meteor Lake, Lunar Lake, Arrow Lake-S, Arrow Lake-H, and Intel’s latest Panther Lake processors.

The headline addition is Intel’s multi-frame generation (MFG) technology, launched as part of the XeSS 3 upscaling suite. MFG can generate up to three AI-created frames for every fully rendered frame, with the goal of improving perceived smoothness while keeping performance overhead low. This allows Arc GPU users to better take advantage of high-refresh-rate displays.

Although Intel first revealed MFG in October 2025 during a dedicated showcase, this driver marks its first public release. According to Intel, development took extra time because the final implementation relies on a single optical flow pass to generate all three AI frames, improving overall efficiency.

Beyond MFG, the driver also introduces support for Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 Panther Lake CPUs, specifically their integrated Arc B390 and Arc B370 Xe3 GPUs.

Bug fixes in this release are fairly limited. Intel has addressed crashes when launching the Pragmata Sketchbook demo and corrected Variable Refresh Rate reporting issues within its graphics software.

While XeSS is designed to be multi-platform and can run on Nvidia and AMD GPUs, not all features are guaranteed to be available everywhere. Intel previously stated that XeSS 3 should work in games that already support XeSS 2, but that list is currently limited to around 44 titles.

Intel has also acknowledged existing issues in several games, including Ghost of Tsushima, The Finals, No Man’s Sky, Star Citizen, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. These problems are expected to be resolved in future driver updates. The new driver can be downloaded directly from Intel’s website.
