Microsoft's games are a trend in PlayStation Store
It's well known that Microsoft and Sony have significantly different approaches to the marketing of their games. Sony continues with its policy of releasing its titles exclusively on PlayStation, even though it has been open to releasing them on PC in recent years, albeit much later than they were first available on PlayStation consoles. However, Microsoft has opted for a different strategy and surprised us when it announced that it would release many of its titles on Sony's platforms. The first of these was Age of Mythology Retold, a reimagination of the classic RTS game that debuted with great success, and it was followed by other titles, like Sea of Thieves. The imminent arrival of two heavy weights shifts may tip the balance towards Microsoft in the strategic field.
Play your favourite games on the platform you prefer
Microsoft's decision allows players to enjoy their favourite games on their platform of choice. The benefit of selling more games is likely to outweigh a potentially negative impact in the number of Xbox consoles sold, ultimately yielding a positive balance for Microsoft. However, the most benefited by this strategy will definitely be the players, who won't be compelled to purchase a console they may not like just because they love a specific franchise. Proof of that is that two of the upcoming releases on PlayStation with more pre-orders are titles created by Microsoft's studios.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Forza Horizon 5 are currently the most anticipated releases on the PlayStation Store. They will arrive next month and the figures point towards them becoming two big hits on PS consoles. We will continue dreaming about a Bloodborne release on PC and wait to see if Sony decides to change its strategy sometime in the future. In any case, you don't have to worry about getting your favourite games at the best price for your platform of choice because our comparator continues to offer you the best deals for all those games, including the cheapest game codes for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Forza Horizon 5.
