Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle, the license makes a highly successful return to video games. The title succeeds in capturing the essence of the films: adventure, mystery and humor, all supported by meticulous direction. We take on the role of a true Indiana Jones, alternating between exploration, puzzles and combat, with a real sense of traveling to the four corners of the world. The gameplay relies heavily on exploration and reflection, enhancing immersion. Puzzles are well integrated. The action phases remain effective, even if the AI is not very responsive. Visually successful and respectful of the license, the game will appeal to Indiana Jones fans and Uncharted-style adventure enthusiasts alike. While not necessarily indispensable at full price, it is an excellent choice via Xbox Game Pass, where it stands out as an experience not to be missed.

It is a marvel. Each area of the map has its own personality and there is always something interesting to discover. I really liked how the puzzles are not repetitive: each one brings a different mechanic that makes you have to think in new ways. The narrative is very well written and the dialogue helps bring the game world to life. The music and sound effects complement the action perfectly, making me feel like I'm inside the story. It is without a doubt one of the games I have enjoyed the most this year.

The setting is fantastic: the mix of ancient history and mythology gives it a unique touch. The controls are solid and everything responds as it should, which makes the experience very fluid. The progression is very well balanced, and there is always something new to learn or discover. I especially liked how the puzzles integrate with the story and don't feel like artificial obstacles. The music and sound design are impeccable; many times I played just for the atmosphere it creates. The characters have charisma, and the cinematic scenes flow naturally. It's one of those games that made me feel like I was really in an archeological adventure, with dangers, mysteries and memorable moments.

Knowing that MachineGames and Microsoft are pleased with the success of the game suggests that there really is interest in continuing to develop this franchise in the future. I never thought a modern game could capture the classic Indiana Jones adventure essence so well, but Great Circle does it flawlessly. Every well thought out puzzle, story piece, and exploration scene keeps you immersed for hours. The pacing of the game is excellent; I never felt like a part was too slow or too rushed. The supporting characters are well designed and bring personality to the world, without stealing Indy's thunder. The sound effects, combined with the music and visual design, create an atmosphere that is hard to describe: you just have to experience it. It's honestly one of the best adventure games I've played in a long time.

The narrative is very well done and the side quests don't feel like filler; each one adds something interesting to the game world. I love how there are multiple ways to overcome certain challenges, which adds replayability and depth. In addition, the settings are diverse: from dense jungles to millennia-old ruins underground, and each has its own unique visual style and mechanics.
