Nvidia is preparing to launch RTX 5060 Ti models
The RTX 5060 Ti could be the next graphics card Nvidia introduces to the market, following the RTX 5070, which is set to launch in early March. Nvidia may release the 16 GB version in the second half of March, while the 8 GB version is expected to arrive in the first half of April.
Currently, there are no official details regarding the specifications of these two models. However, many predictions suggest that they will use the GB206 GPU, a variant of the Blackwell architecture positioned below the GB205 chip found in the RTX 5070. Notably, the RTX 5060 Ti may retain the 128-bit memory bus, similar to previous RTX 4060 Ti models.
Although the VRAM capacity and memory bus remain unchanged, rumors indicate that Nvidia will equip the RTX 5060 Ti models with GDDR7 memory. This could significantly improve bandwidth performance compared to the GDDR6 used in the RTX 4060 Ti. Specifically, GDDR7 is expected to run at 28 Gbps, surpassing the 18 Gbps of the previous generation, potentially increasing overall bandwidth by more than 50%. This could help offset concerns regarding the unchanged VRAM capacity.

Additionally, the RTX 5060 Ti is expected to have a power consumption of 180W, which is about 20W higher than the previous generation. However, this is still a reasonable level and should work well with standard power supplies. Interestingly, Nvidia may include two types of power connectors for this GPU series: the standard model will use the traditional 8-pin connector, while some versions might adopt the newer 12V-2x6 connector. This would offer users more flexibility when upgrading their systems.
While information about the RTX 5060 Ti graphics card is becoming clearer, Nvidia has yet to mention the standard RTX 5060 model or reveal the pricing for the RTX 5060 Ti variants. This raises questions about the company's product strategy in the mid-range segment, especially as many gamers continue to hope for a more budget-friendly option compared to the high-end versions.
