Nvidia RTX 5080 SUPER May Feature 24GB VRAM, Higher TDP
Specifications for Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER have been revealed, indicating a significant enhancement in both memory size and TGP (Total GPU Power), pointing towards a notable boost in GPU performance.
As reported by @kopite7kimi, the forthcoming RTX 5080 SUPER will come with a TGP of 415W and 24GB of 32 Gbps GDDR7 memory. In comparison to the existing RTX 5080, the new SUPER version will offer 50% additional VRAM capacity, a 6.6% increase in memory bandwidth, and a greater power allocation. With 55 more watts available, the upcoming SUPER GPU is expected to achieve higher clock speeds, enhancing performance further.

415W
It's worth noting that both Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and RTX 5080 SUPER share the same count of CUDA cores. Each card features 10752 CUDA cores. This essentially positions Nvidia’s new SUPER variant as an overclocked version of the RTX 5080 with increased memory capacity. Apart from their power budgets and memory speeds, the primary distinction between these cards lies in the GDDR7 DRAM modules utilized. While the current RTX 5080 uses 2GB GDDR7 modules, the reported SUPER variant adopts 3GB modules.
If additional VRAM isn’t a necessity for you, Nvidia’s RTX 5080 SUPER seems to be primarily an overclocked version of the RTX 5080. However, these specifications may be subject to change prior to the launch of Nvidia's RTX 50 SUPER. We anticipate Nvidia's RTX 50 SUPER series to be introduced in early 2026, a year following the debut of Nvidia’s standard RTX 50 series GPU models.
The forthcoming RTX 5080 SUPER is creating a substantial buzz with assurances of improved performance and next-generation features. Yet for those who seek the pinnacle of performance—without compromises—the RTX 5090 is already available and establishing the benchmark. Designed to excel in all tasks, from maximum 4K settings to AI-driven workflows, it's engineered to handle any workload you present.
