Steam’s Scream Fest 2025 is live with terrifying deals and horror fun

The Halloween sale on Steam kicks off today, October 27 (in some areas, it extends into the 28th). Officially referred to as the Steam Scream Fest, or simply Steam Scream, this occasion highlights horror games, Halloween-themed titles, or anything else that captures a spooky essence. Valve’s renowned PC gaming platform will feature significant discounts on hundreds of games for the upcoming week, ending on November 3.

There are only 24 hours in a day, making it impossible to play everything, but if you happened to overlook 2014’s The Evil Within or its sequel, The Evil Within 2, both are currently on sale. The original Alan Wake is priced at just $1.49 / 1,29€ / £1.19 at the moment, while its spin-off, American Nightmare, is even lower in price. Additionally, you can expect discounts on popular horror titles like Dead by Daylight, Alien: Isolation, and the Outlast series, among others. You might find some of the best discounts reaching up to 85% off (The Quarry is already marked down this much until November 3).

As is the case with most seasonal events on Steam these days, there’s more; a variety of new Points Shop items are available in case you wish to swap your current profile picture for a Nosferatu gif.

Following this event, there’s much more planned before the year wraps up. Valve still has the Animal Fest and Sports Fest set for November and December. After that, it will be time for the Steam Winter Sale 2025! Looking forward, you can already view Valve’s comprehensive schedule through the end of May on the Steam Sales 2026 dates.
