Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater reimagines the 2004 stealth-action classic for a new generation, bringing the Cold War's tension and covert intrigue into razor-sharp focus. As legendary operative Naked Snake (the future Big Boss), you embark on a perilous mission deep within the Soviet jungle. Stealth, camouflage, and tactical movement remain at the heart of the experience, but now they come alive with modern flair and precision.

This new edition refines the original's core mechanics with smooth, responsive controls, advanced enemy AI, and dramatically expanded stealth options. Dive into shadows, adapt to dynamic patrol patterns, and exploit environmental cover in smarter, more realistic ways. Combined with improved pacing and emergent outcomes, every infiltration feels fresh. It's perfect for repeated playthroughs using different strategies.

The narrative has also been deepened. Snake's mission to rescue a captive scientist and confront the renegade leader known only as "The Boss" takes on new emotional weight. Expanded backstories, layered character arcs, and unexpected plot turns explore themes like loyalty, betrayal, honor, and sacrifice more profoundly than ever before, weaving a mature, cinematic story that resonates long after the final cutscene.

The game aims for cinematic fidelity. Lush jungle foliage, dappled sunlight, shadow-carved ruins, and lifelike animations come together in 4K HDR with high-frame-rate performance on consoles and PC. Ray-traced lighting enriches dense foliage and misty environments, and detailed motion capture brings facial expressions and body language to life, immersing you fully in every tense whisper and stealthy maneuver.

Audio and presentation match the visuals with a sweeping, dynamic score that evolves with the action: quiet and tense during stealth, swelling during drama and combat. The original voice cast returns (where possible), and modern sound design enhances immersion. Subtitles and multilingual voice support make the experience accessible internationally.

Player convenience and community play a bigger role than ever. Customizable controls, a clean and intuitive UI, and modern accessibility options (color-blind modes, adjustable subtitles, full remappable inputs) make the experience comfortable and inclusive. On PC and through digital storefronts, mod support and community content further extend replayability, while optional online features like global leaderboards for stealth speed runs or time-limited challenge events foster a sense of community and friendly competition.

In short, Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater is more than a remaster; it offers players a reworked classic, enhanced by modern design principles to deliver unforgettable storytelling, deep stealth gameplay, and breathtaking audiovisual craftsmanship. Dive into the shadows again, this time with the power of today's technology and the soul of a timeless legend.

Metal Gear Solid 3 was always considered to be one of the summits of the medium, and this remake not only reaffirms that idea, but takes it to a level that few games have reached. We are talking about a title that is not limited to being a simple graphical update, but an experience that respects the original essence while enhancing it with a technical and artistic section at the level of current times. The story remains one of Hideo Kojima's greatest achievements: a cold war tale full of political intrigue, espionage, sacrifice and moral dilemmas. Naked Snake's journey towards becoming Big Boss is as human as it is epic, full of narrative twists and moments that are etched in the memory forever. The relationship with The Boss, complex and devastating, marks a before and after in video game storytelling. If you love video games, this is not just a title you must play: it is an experience you must live.

A very poor remake, the game is pretty, but poorly optimized. Fps lock at 60 fps for a PC game, that's a bit of a joke. For the low base price of 80 euros (much cheaper thanks to Dlcompare), it's hard to swallow when you see what other studios have done for less recently (Clair Obscur, Mafia).

MGS DELTA is an almost 1:1 remake. The game's greatest strength is undoubtedly its deep, philosophical story. It transcends the typical spy thriller to explore deep themes of loyalty, the blurred lines between good and evil, and the very nature of a soldier's purpose in a world controlled by shadowy agendas. The complex bond between Snake and his mentor, The Boss, forms an emotional and exhilarating core, questioning the true cost of duty and patriotism.

I was too young to play the original and never had a PS2 growing up, so I can't really compare this remake to the original. However, according to other gamers, it's probably pretty close to the original, which is fine by me. In any case, I had a lot of fun catching up with Metal Gear Solid 3 in this modernized form. If you liked the gameplay of MGS V, you should probably have no problem adapting fairly quickly.

Remake part: It remains faithful to the base game. The transition to UE5 renders very nicely, with superb character models, especially during cinematics. The addition of new controls is an excellent improvement. The shooting phases are much more pleasant than in the original version. From a technical point of view, it's impeccable. The only negative point is that the AI has not been reworked, and remains deaf and blind.

This remake, from what I've seen of it, looks faithful to its original version, worthy of a Japanese version of nanard, the big mess of fights to die for, Snake's outfits worthy of Cirque Pinder, nah really, it's all there and seeing it in 2025 feels good, you may find it strange/rebutting but I hope that the other MGSs will also be remade in their turn so that the whole story is modernized!

This remake is a bit of an introduction to the license, given that it's a prequel. You can choose your own mode of play, either old-school with a fixed camera or shoulder-mounted. The game is quite beautiful, even if I prefer the original for certain aesthetic choices (the lights in the cemetery scene, for example).

Magnificent game. The story, the characters, the ending.... This Snake Eater being one of the best games ever but now renewed. This remake is a super faithful game to the original including the rough controls and gameplay of the original but adding some tweaks like a faster camouflage and some extra stuff from MGSV. Graphically there is not much to say as it is obvious its improvement. The sound also seems to have improved.

Metal Gear Solid Delta is, without a doubt, a return through the big door of one of the best games in the saga. From the beginning I was captivated by the setting, the level of detail in the scenarios and how well they have managed to transfer everything that made the original special, but with a very modern graphic and technical finish. You can see the love in the animations, in the atmosphere of the jungle and in the way in which the story shines again with this new presentation.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is a good take on this much-loved classic. The graphics and controls have been improved, making the game accessible to today's gamers without losing the core experience of the original. It's the best way to discover Metal Gear Solid 3.
