Strategos is a real-time tactical wargame that places you in command of the great armies of classical antiquity. Set across the ancient Mediterranean world, the game challenges you to think and act like a true battlefield commander, where preparation, positioning, and leadership matter as much as raw numbers. With more than 120 factions and over 250 distinct unit types, Strategos offers an unparalleled scope of ancient military diversity.

Battles unfold on a large scale, emphasizing realistic formations, morale, fatigue, and terrain. Victory is not achieved through simple micromanagement, but through sound tactical judgment. Orders take time to propagate, generals must be positioned carefully, and units react dynamically to pressure, fear, and opportunity. Fog of war, pursuit mechanics, and line-of-sight considerations ensure that every engagement remains tense and unpredictable.

Strategos spans centuries of warfare, featuring iconic forces such as Greek hoplites, Macedonian phalanxes, Roman legions, Carthaginian veterans, and countless tribal and regional armies. Players can relive famous historical engagements or explore alternative outcomes through a variety of scenarios and campaigns inspired by real battles and legendary commanders.

For those who prefer creative freedom, the game provides extensive customization options. You can design your own battles by selecting factions, terrain, eras, and AI behavior, tailoring each encounter to your preferred level of challenge.

Developed with a strong focus on authenticity and tactical depth, Strategos is built for players who appreciate methodical, historically grounded warfare.
