New Intel ARC GPU packaging hints at upcoming launch

Arc Battlemage B770 high-end GPU packaging already in prep at Intel

It seems that Intel is gearing up to unveil a new ARC Battlemage graphics card. Leakers have detected packaging for Intel G31 and C32 graphics cards. The previous occurrence of similar leaks indicated that Intel’s ARC B580 was approximately 2.5 months away from its release.

The B31 (BMG-B31) GPU is the designated name for Intel’s high-end ARC Battlemage graphics card. This GPU is rumored to represent Intel’s ARC B770 graphics card. It will offer PC gamers a more premium option compared to the Intel ARC B580.

What does this imply? There's a strong possibility that Intel is set to launch the Arc B770 desktop gaming GPU in either November or December this year, with this more advanced GPU expected to feature 32 Xe2 cores and 16GB of VRAM on a quicker 256-bit memory interface. At present, the performance metrics for this GPU remain unclear. As a mid-tier GPU, it is anticipated to support PCIe 5.0 connectivity, and its performance should align somewhere between the GeForce RTX 4070 and the GeForce RTX 5070, making pricing a critical factor in its market reception.

With AMD and Nvidia having already released new high-end GPUs this year, Intel will encounter significant competition. For Intel to sell a considerable number of GPUs, they must offer robust performance alongside appealing pricing.

Intel's second-generation Arc graphics cards are already positioned strongly in terms of driver and feature set, with frequent updates and the introduction of XeSS 2, which provides AI-based Super Resolution and Frame Generation technologies.

The recently leaked Intel ARC B770 is attracting interest, but you don’t have to wait for speculation to materialize to experience smooth, modern gaming performance. The Intel ARC B570 already offers remarkable value with excellent ray tracing support, XeSS upscaling, and dependable performance for today’s most popular games.
