ASUS has unveiled the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition GPU
ASUS has introduced a new version of their ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090, influenced by Middle Eastern aesthetics and featuring Arabic script alongside a gold color scheme.
Nvidia’s RTX 5090 holds the title of the most costly consumer GPU globally, while ASUS’ ROG Astral is already a high-end variant of this graphics card. Clearly, the design draws inspiration from Middle Eastern opulence, prominently showcasing golden elements throughout the card. These golden touches are evident on the casing, backplate, fan decals, and even on the heatsink fins and PCIe bracket, all adorned in gold!
Additionally, the brand highlights these hues with accents of turquoise, which can be spotted on the various trim surrounding the last fan as well as the one at the back of the card. Even the heatsink fins of this GPU are finished in gold! This gives the graphics card the appearance of a solid gold block, a fitting look considering the anticipated price tag of this limited edition release.

Beyond its visual appeal, this ROG Astral features a heatsink with four fans. This design also benefits from phase-change thermal pads and a unique vapor chamber. Furthermore, the PCB is robust, incorporating 80A MOSFETs and multiple power supply phases. However, ASUS has opted not to implement any extra overclocking for this special variant. As a result, this version aligns with the original Astral, featuring a default boost of 2580 MHz and 2610 MHz in OC mode.
At this time, it is unclear what the pricing for this GPU will be or in which regions it will be sold. It seems probable that this GPU is aimed primarily at markets in the Middle East. Nonetheless, there may be interest in such a GPU in other areas as well. After all, this graphics card perfectly suits anyone looking to create an Ancient Egypt-themed PC.
