Steam kicks off Scream Fest V with Halloween deals on horror games

The Steam Halloween Sale 2026, also known as Steam Scream V, is officially underway, giving horror fans another opportunity to stock up on creepy adventures and survival games at reduced prices. The event covers a broad selection of spooky titles, from terrifying co-op experiences to atmospheric adventures that are perfect for the Halloween season.

As usual, Valve has marked the occasion with a promotional trailer narrated by Kaci “Steam Lady” Aitchison. The video runs for more than a minute, showcasing some of the games included in this year's sale and offering a quick look at the horrors waiting for players.

One of the standout deals is Resident Evil 4, Capcom's acclaimed remake of the survival horror classic. Set six years after the Raccoon City incident, the game follows agent Leon S. Kennedy as he attempts to rescue the President's daughter from a mysterious rural community. Its updated visuals, intense combat, and reworked story make it an excellent choice for anyone looking to revisit a genre-defining adventure. Those who prefer their horror with friends can turn to GTFO, a demanding four-player cooperative shooter that emphasizes teamwork and tactical planning.
