Control Resonant report hints at a Q2 2026 release window

Control Resonant report suggests Q2 2026 release

Control fans may not have to wait as long as originally believed. According to newly surfaced investor documents, Control Resonant—Remedy Entertainment’s next entry in its expanding connected universe—now appears set for a Q2 2026 release window. Previously projected for late 2026 or even early 2027, the sequel has reportedly moved up the schedule, placing its launch sometime between April and June of next year.

The information comes from a financial briefing shared by Remedy, outlining updates to revenue forecasts and project timelines. The filing notes that the studio is now “waiting for the release of Control Resonant at the end of Q2 ’26,” signaling a significant shift from earlier expectations. While the documents caution that the target could slip into Q3 if production requires more time, the projection suggests Remedy is further along than many anticipated.

The report also outlines updated sales expectations, estimating 1.8 million units sold in 2026 and 2.2 million in 2027, with total revenue during that period forecast to exceed €120 million. Annapurna Interactive’s involvement—previously believed to sit outside Remedy’s income statement—will now appear internally as both revenue and expense, further shaping financial modeling around the launch.

A Darker Manhattan and a New Lead

Control Resonant marks a major evolution for the series, shifting from the brutalist Federal Bureau of Control headquarters to a reimagined, paranormally warped version of Manhattan. The sequel places players in the role of Dylan Faden, former prisoner of the FBC and brother of Jesse Faden, as he faces an escalating cosmic crisis threatening reality itself. Remedy has promised more expansive exploration, a heavier emphasis on melee combat, and environments constantly reshaped by supernatural disturbances.

As Dylan ventures through fractured, gravity-distorted districts of Manhattan, players will confront new entities, new laws of physics, and a broader mystery that deepens the studio’s shared universe—which already includes Control and Alan Wake.

With Remedy already laying the groundwork for post-launch DLC projected for 2028, the studio appears confident that Control Resonant will anchor the next phase of its interconnected narrative universe. For now, fans can expect its arrival next spring or early summer—unless shifting paranatural forces decide otherwise.
