IO Interactive announces Project 007, a new James Bond game

Although it's not the only license that they have developed, IO Interactive is best known for creating the Hitman series. The latest installment released to date, Hitman 2, was very widely appreciated by the fans who are now waiting for Hitman 3, which will be released on  January 21, 2021. But the topic of the day does not concern Agent 47, but 007. Indeed, IO Interactive has revealed that it's currently working on a new James Bond game which is provisionally called Project 007. A short teaser has been published too but it does not reveal much about the game. 

On the other hand, The studio's website reveals some information about the type of game that Project 007 will be. It will feature an untold story that will take us to the origins of one of the most famous secret agents of all time, revealing how 007 became a double zero agent. And according to Hakan Abrak, CEO of IO Interactive, the project is quite ambitious: 

“It’s true that once in a while, the stars do align in our industry. Creating an original Bond game is a monumental undertaking and I truly believe that IO Interactive, working closely with our creative partners at EON and MGM, can deliver something extremely special for our players and communities. Our passionate team is excited to unleash their creativity into the iconic James Bond universe and craft the most ambitious game in the history of our studio.”

IO Interactive seems to be taking things very seriously in order to deliver to the players an experience at the level of the best Agent 007-based titles, and their experience with the Hitman series should be invaluable to make Project 007 a great game.
