Layers of Fear now has an exact June release date

At last, we have an exact release date for Layers of Fear. The Bloober Team has just announced that their Unreal Engine 5 remake of their psychological horror series is launching on June 15—but you can play the game much earlier than that.  Check out the 11-minute Layers of Fear gameplay preview here:

Fear and loathing on June 15

Layers of Fear will cover the original Layers of Fear, its Inheritance DLC, and Layers of Fear 2, plus the additional plot of the Writer to tie the whole story together. It’s not merely a retread of the games, however. Layers of Fear has been remade from the ground up on Unreal Engine 5, providing glorious visual effects such as ray tracing, HDR, and more.

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno said in a press release:

“With the power of Unreal Engine 5, we’ve been able to create a game that visually surpasses our previous works, delivering an unforgettable journey into the minds of tormented artists. We are excited for both new and returning players to jump in.”

No need to wait

You can jump into this terrifying world much earlier now that Bloober Team has released a playable demo of the first few minutes of Layers of Fear on Steam. You can access that demo from today until May 22. If needed, you should also check out the game’s PC requirements

Lest we forget, Bloober Team is currently hard at work on yet another psychological horror game, Silent Hill 2, which is also scheduled for release this year. Here’s hoping that game will be just as visually stunning.

Meanwhile, Layers of Fear will launch for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store this June 15. If you’re looking to save a bit, you can pre-order a Layers of Fear PC key from our comparator.
