Green Hell is a psychological thriller and survival simulation game that takes you to the depths of the Amazonian rainforest. You find yourself in the middle of the jungle, left to survive by your own means as you try to find the way back to civilization. Your only help is a familiar voice on the other side of a radio that will try to guide you through the wilderness while you slowly uncover the truth behind your current situation.

Green Hell faithfully recreates the environmental condition of the Amazonian rainforest, making survival quite difficult. You have plenty of resources at hand if you know how to find them, and you will need to be creative and intelligent to find sustenance and avoid illness. The game also keeps track of your psychological condition, as solitude can put your mind under great stress.

In Green Hell, the environment surrounding you can be pretty unwelcoming for someone inexperienced and ignorant. The game offers an amazing survival experience like no other. Do you have what it takes to survive in the jungle?

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: How does the sanity mechanic impact the player's perception and actions within the Amazon rainforest?
The sanity mechanic affects vision, hearing, and the player's ability to perform tasks. High sanity enhances clarity, while low sanity leads to visual and auditory hallucinations, impacting decision-making and the environment's perceived dangers.; Can the player permanently lose limbs or suffer from lasting physical disabilities due to injuries and diseases, and if so, how are these managed?
Yes, players can suffer from fractures, infections, and parasitic infestations. Some injuries require splinting or bandaging and can heal over time. Disease management often requires diagnosing the ailment and crafting appropriate remedies based on found resources.; How does the 'body inspection' mechanic function, and what role does it play in survival?
The body inspection mechanic allows players to examine their character for injuries, parasites, and other ailments. It's crucial for identifying and treating health issues before they worsen, as untreated problems can quickly lead to death.; What is the purpose of the crafting system in Green Hell, and how does it differ from other survival games?
The crafting system is central to survival, enabling players to create tools, weapons, shelter, and medicine using resources gathered from the environment. Unique aspects include the need for detailed construction of specific items that the user must learn through trial and error or by finding blueprints.; How does the game's nutritional system influence the player's stamina, health, and overall well-being?
The nutritional system demands a balanced diet, tracking protein, carbohydrates, fats, and hydration levels. Imbalances lead to various negative effects like reduced stamina, increased disease vulnerability, and decreased overall health, requiring the player to carefully manage their food intake.; What are the environmental challenges, and how do they impact the player's survival strategies?
The Amazon rainforest presents hazards like poisonous plants and animals, sudden weather changes, and difficult terrain. Players must learn to recognize and avoid threats, adapt shelter to changing conditions, and carefully plan movement to avoid exposure.; How does the game's combat system function, and how does it incentivize tactical approaches?
Combat involves crafting weapons like spears and bows, or utilizing traps. The game rewards strategic engagement, such as stealth and exploiting enemy weaknesses, rather than direct confrontations, as resources are scarce and injuries are dangerous.; How does the game's storyline progress, and how does it intertwine with the survival mechanics?
The storyline is revealed through radio communications and environmental clues, which guides the player's survival by providing objectives and reveals the mysteries of the jungle. These objectives force the player to explore, utilize their crafted tools, and manage their resources.; How does the 'dream' mechanic work, and what information does it offer to the player?
The dream mechanic provides insights into the protagonist's past and the mysteries surrounding the Amazon, offering clues about the story, resource locations, or potential dangers. Players will experience dreams at specific times or under certain conditions.; What is the role of the map, and how does it interact with the player's exploration and survival strategies?
The map is essential, but initially blank. Players must explore and manually draw the map by visiting locations, which aids in navigation, resource gathering, and strategic planning. The map is constantly updated to plan for the next day or trip.
