Silent Hill 2 remake reportedly launching on PS Plus later this month

Silent Hill 2 remake rumored to join PS Plus lineup before month’s end

It looks like PS Plus subscribers can expect a thrilling Halloween this year! Everyone subscribed to the Essential plan can now access the eerie Alan Wake 2 among the selection of games for October.

According to recent information from leaker billbil-kun, another excellent horror game may soon be added to the service for Extra and Premium subscribers. They have a solid history of reliable leaks, having recently predicted Alan Wake 2 for PS Plus Essential correctly. Given this, there is a strong possibility that this new information is also accurate.

The leak suggests that Silent Hill 2 could be added to the catalog on October 21, 2025. This would be a remarkable addition to the service, especially since the game was launched just a year ago. The remake has received acclaim for its menacing atmosphere, impressive graphics, and faithful representation of the original story. It’s a must-play for fans of psychological horror.

Alongside new titles, several games are set to exit the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalogs this month. Sony has announced that six titles will be removed on October 21, which include Battlefield 1, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed Ecto Edition, Tour de France 2023, and two games from The Dark Pictures Anthology - House of Ashes and The Devil In Me.

If the rumors are substantiated, the Silent Hill 2 Remake will become the highlight of October’s PS Plus Extra lineup. The addition not only enhances the service’s collection of horror games ahead of Halloween but also implies that Konami’s timed exclusivity deal with Sony may be nearing its end. Although Sony has yet to make an official statement, the timing and reliability of the source make this one of the more persuasive leaks in recent months.
