Tales of the Shire is a new look at the Lord of the Rings universe

Private Division has announced a new game set in the universe created by J.R.R. Tolkien. Tales of the Shire has been announced via X (Twitter) and it promises to be a new adventure that will transport you to the homeland of the Hobbits. Tolkien's novels have always been a very important source of inspiration for video game creators but they truly started to shine after the films inspired by those same novels were released. After that, the popularity of Frodo, Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Sam, and the other main characters in the story of the One Ring has increased exponentially, and they all form a vivid image in the minds of all video game fans.

An endless source of inspiration

Among many of the titles released in recent years, Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor and its sequel, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War shine with their own radiance and stand above others due to their intense gameplay and exciting features, including a unique system that lets your enemies evolve over time to offer you an exclusive experience. More recent takes on the series, like The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, explore paths that have not been treated in the books, allowing the fans to discover a world of new possibilities as they learn more about one of the most popular fantasy universes ever created.

The developer of Tales of the Shire has yet to reveal any information about what type of game it will be. The only information available states that "your cozy Hobbit life awaits in Tales of the Shire, a heart-warming, new, The Lord of the Rings game". It does not look like Tales of the Shire is going to be an exciting action-based adventure with lots of battles, but we will never know until more information is available. In any case, the experience of Private Division in creating games like The Outer Worlds and Kerbal Space Program 2 is enough to guarantee the new game is worthy of a look.
