The game's story is set in the beautiful Verice Bay and it revolves around two main characters, Hector May and Margaret Harck.

Hector May is an eccentric inventor, a genius who is always accompanied by bad luck, as most of his inventions end in failure. However, he accidentally created his craziest invention yet: a device that turns light into liquid. The coolest thing is that a person can travel through space and time when drinking this liquid. On the other hand, Margaret Harck is a strong-willed female sculptor. She is accidentally dragged into this adventure after Hector tests his invention on himself and accidentally teleports to her era (the 1990s).

This "accidental" duo must travel together through many different timelines and locations, meeting quirky characters and solving troubles (sometimes accidentally caused by themselves) to prevent threats endangering the universe and time.

The game utilizes hybrid visual technology that combines smoothly animated, expressive 2D cartoon characters with highly detailed, pre-rendered 3D backgrounds, bringing a sense of both nostalgia and modernity. Not only that, the game carries a humorous, cartoonish atmosphere deeply inspired by immortal adventure monuments of LucasArts from back in the day, such as "Day of the Tentacle" or "Sam & Max Hit the Road." Gameplay revolves around a pure point-and-click mechanic (typical of Thimbleweed Park or Machinarium), which allows you to control characters to move across screens, search for items, and chat with NPCs to find clues. Your actions in one timeline will create a butterfly effect, changing the situation or unlocking the solution in another timeline.
