Xbox fans can win one of the wildest Xbox Series X designs ever made

Xbox has unveiled one of its strangest Series X designs yet, and this one is definitely not destined for store shelves. Dubbed the Xbox Series X-Bite, the custom creation is built around a giant alligator that appears to have swallowed Microsoft's console, complete with an Xbox controller bearing simulated bite marks.

The reveal comes ahead of the Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition, but unlike that upcoming variant, the Series X-Bite is strictly a collector's piece. Xbox worked with John Nolan Studio, a specialist in creature effects and animatronics, to create the unusual display. Measuring more than five feet long, the alligator features an illuminated Xbox Nexus button on its body, while its eyes sport green irises and pupils inspired by the controller's familiar Nexus design.

The accompanying Xbox Wireless Controller is just as unusual. It sits between the creature's open jaws and features markings designed to resemble damage from an alligator bite, completing the rather literal interpretation of the Series X-Bite name.

Although the design is clearly intended to attract attention, the hardware inside is fully functional and capable of running current Xbox games. Microsoft does, however, describe the creation primarily as an exhibition centerpiece rather than a conventional gaming console. The company also confirms that no real animals were involved or harmed during production.

Xbox hasn't explicitly connected the project to Grand Theft Auto VI, but the timing makes that an interesting possibility. With the upcoming game generating enormous attention and PlayStation holding its marketing partnership, other gaming brands have had to find more indirect ways to join the conversation.

Unfortunately for anyone hoping to add this bizarre console to their setup, the Xbox Series X-Bite won't receive a retail release. Only one unit has been produced, and it will be awarded through an official social media giveaway. Details for the giveaway, which is open to legal residents of the United States only, can be viewed here.

The sweepstakes runs from November 3 through November 10, 2026, ending at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. That leaves interested collectors just a short window to enter for a chance to take home Microsoft's five-foot alligator-themed Xbox.
