Release date and launch times

GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026. Rockstar has confirmed a midnight local time rollout rather than a single global unlock, which means the game goes live progressively around the world — New Zealand first at 11:00 UTC on November 18, the UK at 00:00 UTC on November 19, and the United States at 05:00 UTC on November 19 (per the PlayStation Store listing, as reported in September 2026). Preload: November 12

Digital pre-orders can begin pre-loading on November 12, 2026, a full week before launch, so you can play the moment the game unlocks. Physical buyers, take note: the box contains a download code, not a disc — Rockstar confirmed the physical version ships from November 12 specifically to support preloading. Walk into a retailer on the 12th and you can take a box home, but the game still unlocks on the 19th.

Platforms: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only

Grand Theft Auto VI is a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S exclusive at launch. There is no confirmed PC version — Rockstar has said nothing about a PC release date, and it's also unknown whether the game will come to Nintendo Switch 2. Treat any PC date you see online as a rumor until Rockstar says otherwise.

Editions and prices

Two editions exist, and neither is called Deluxe. The Standard Edition costs $79.99 / €79.99 / £69.99, and the Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99, adding premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and exclusive in-game stores spread across Jason and Lucia's story.
