The Turmoil title screen showcases a picturesque Western scene with mountains, oil derricks, and the game's title.

Turmoil is a simulation game developed by Gamious and released in 2016. The game is set during the 19th-century oil rush in North America, where players take on the role of an oil entrepreneur hoping to strike it rich.

The game offers two game modes: a single-player campaign and a sandbox mode. The campaign mode offers a set of progressively challenging levels that introduce new mechanics and obstacles as players build their oil extraction empire. The sandbox mode allows players to customize their game experience and play for as long as they like without specific objectives.

In the game, players start by purchasing a plot of land and drilling wells to extract oil. As players collect oil, they must sell it at a favorable price to brokers who are willing to invest in their oil business.

Players must also manage expenses by purchasing upgrades for their drilling equipment and hiring workers. They must also navigate the various hazards that come with oil drilling, such as natural disasters, bandits, and competitors.

Turmoil's visuals are charming and reminiscent of classic cartoon styles, with a unique color palette and delightful animations. The game's soundtrack is also noteworthy, providing a lighthearted and upbeat atmosphere.

Overall, Turmoil is an engaging and enjoyable simulation game that captures the excitement and strategy of the 19th-century oil rush. With its charming visuals, excellent soundtrack, and satisfying gameplay mechanics, Turmoil is an excellent choice for simulation game fans looking for a unique gaming experience.
