FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

: How does the 'Stormer' mechanic, which allows players to dash through enemies and objects, synergize with the game's environmental destructibility to create emergent combat scenarios?
The Stormer mechanic is central to Rogue Stormers' dynamic combat. By dashing, players can shatter cover, stagger groups of enemies, and even trigger environmental hazards like explosive barrels or collapsing structures. This encourages a highly aggressive playstyle where players aren't just shooting, but actively manipulating the battlefield to their advantage. For instance, a well-timed Stormer dash into a weak wall can open up new pathways, expose hidden enemies, or funnel foes into a trap you've set up with your weapons.; What is the 'Resonance' system, and how does collecting and spending it impact the progression and build variety within a single roguelike run?
Resonance acts as the primary in-run currency and progression system in Rogue Stormers. Players collect Resonance from defeated enemies and by completing challenges. This Resonance can then be spent at 'Resonance Shrines' found within levels. These shrines offer a randomized selection of powerful passive buffs, weapon upgrades, or even temporary active abilities. Choosing how to spend your Resonance is crucial, as it dictates the direction of your character build for that specific run, allowing for wildly different gameplay experiences even with the same starting character.
