    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 'Pure' aiming assist differ from standard aiming aids in other pool games?
Pure Pool's aiming assist focuses on showcasing the ball's trajectory without overly simplifying shots. It provides a visual guide, accounting for spin, but still requires precise cue control and shot power for successful execution.
Can I adjust the amount of aiming assistance, and if so, how does it affect gameplay?
Yes, you can customize the aiming assist. Reducing the assist increases the challenge, demanding a greater understanding of angles, spin, and power to pot balls accurately.
What is the 'Pure' spin system, and how does it influence ball behavior?
The spin system lets you apply detailed spin (top, bottom, left, right) with precision. This affects how the cue ball interacts with other balls and the cushions, enabling complex shots like follow, draw, and sidespin.
How does the game simulate table and ball physics differently than other pool games?
Pure Pool uses realistic physics, modeling ball friction, collision, and spin with high accuracy. This leads to more unpredictable and true-to-life ball behavior, making shot adjustments critical.
Does Pure Pool offer any single-player challenges that go beyond standard pool games?
Yes, Pure Pool features unique single-player challenges such as trick shot modes, precision aiming tests, and time-limited scoring events designed to test your skills.
How does the 'career mode' keep track of my progress?
The career mode tracks your progression with experience points, skill ratings, and unlocking new locations or tables based on your in-game performance.
Can I play against others in real-time?
Yes, Pure Pool includes real-time multiplayer modes where you can compete against players worldwide, with matchmaking based on skill level and a variety of game types.
How does the game handle the 'feel' of the cue stick and shot power?
The game uses a combination of analog stick control and visual cues to give the player a good sense of how hard the cue ball is struck. It simulates the weight and inertia of the cue stick itself.
How is the cue ball's behavior after contact with a ball handled?
The game uses realistic collision physics, accounting for the angle of impact, spin, and speed. The cue ball can carom, follow, draw, or curve, making shot planning essential.
Are there any elements of the game that use environmental effects?
The game models the lighting of each location which will affect how the table looks. This enhances the realistic feel of the game.
