    The apocalypse is here and your only chance of survival is to travel 10 Miles to Safety and reach a nearby army base. In this top-down strategic zombie shooter, you need to make progress during the daylight hours when the zombies are slower and less menacing. This gives you the opportunity to find items, new weapons, and crafting materials in buildings and containers so that you can survive another night.

    Come nightfall you need to barricade yourself in buildings and set traps with explosives and barricades to keep the now much quicker and more menacing zombies from tearing you to shreds. Be mindful of where you take shelter, a church may seem appropriate conceptually, but its large windows will make you a sitting duck when the zombies find you. The world is large, but the elements in it appear quite often. Many of the locations will be familiar to you after a while and that will allow you to muster a somewhat safer defense against the zombies.

    You can play the game offline as well as with other players in a drop-in multiplayer mode. Having someone to rely on in a situation such as this can be the difference between life and death. But beware, the machinegun of your ally is as deadly as any zombie, and you might end up dead quite easily in 10 Miles to Safety.
