Have you ever thought that you could do better than the people governing your country? Democracy 4 gives you the opportunity of governing a country. In this political simulation game, you have been elected as the President/Prime Minister of your country, and it's completely up to you to decide its course for the future. You must choose policies and laws that will transform the country according to your ideals. But every decision you take will have an impact on the society, economy, and welfare of your people, and you aim to be elected once more, so you must be careful and try to maintain your popularity.

Democracy 4 is nothing similar to games like Tropico. It doesn't let you build and develop your country on a map. Instead of that, it's full of menus, statistics, parameters, and variables, and it features a system that calculates the result of your actions and what impact these have. You will also have to react to any problems that affect your country. The game is the perfect sandbox scenario to gauge what would be the possible result of your politics if you were president for real. Whether you decide to govern with an iron hand, control the economy, or allow everyone to do whatever they feel like doing, your strategy is what really matters in Democracy 4.
