Crime O'Clock is a time-bending investigative puzzle game where players become detectives tasked with solving crimes across multiple eras. Blending point-and-click mechanics with a unique timeline manipulation system, the game challenges players to track clues, uncover hidden details, and piece together cases by exploring events across different moments in time. Every case unfolds on a large, living map that changes dynamically as players shift between past, present, and future, making time itself the ultimate investigative tool.

At the heart of the gameplay is the ability to jump between different points in time, watching how scenes evolve as events progress or rewind. Players must pay attention to the smallest details, since subtle changes can hold the key to solving the case. Observations made in one time period could lead to clues in another, creating an interconnected web of evidence that requires logical thinking and keen observation.

The cases span a variety of intriguing scenarios, from thefts and disappearances to more sinister conspiracies, each with branching paths and evolving consequences. As the story progresses, players uncover a larger mystery tied to a hidden force influencing history itself.

The game’s detailed hand-drawn environments, filled with animated characters and interactive elements, bring every era to life. From futuristic cities to ancient landmarks, the visual style captures the charm of classic mystery games while adding a fresh twist with its time-hopping mechanics.

    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I investigate multiple crime scenes concurrently, or am I limited to one at a time?
You can switch between crime scenes at any time, but only one scene can be actively investigated at a given moment. The timer pauses while you are in another scene or the overview map.
Does the in-game timer represent real-time, or is it a game-time clock that speeds up and slows down?
The in-game timer accurately reflects real-time; every minute that passes in the game world is a minute in your actual time.
How do I know which events or pieces of evidence are relevant to each other across different timelines or crime scenes?
The game uses a series of clues and hints that highlight potential connections between evidence, locations, and characters across time periods. You must actively piece the information together.
If I miss an event that happened at a specific time, can I rewind or replay a particular segment to observe it?
You can rewind time to a certain degree, but the game doesn't allow for arbitrary rewinding. You can often revisit a specific time if you uncover a crucial piece of evidence that reveals its importance.
Are the characters' actions and movements scripted, or do they have a degree of dynamic behavior within the game's timeline?
The character movements and actions are primarily scripted to ensure that the events necessary for solving the mystery unfold in the correct order. But their behavior can change based on player choices.
How much impact do my choices have on the progression of the case? Are there multiple outcomes?
Your choices have a significant impact, and there are multiple possible outcomes to each case, depending on the evidence you gather and how you interpret it. Some choices will unlock the next steps.
Is there a penalty for making incorrect assumptions or accusations based on incomplete evidence?
Incorrect assumptions or accusations will hinder the investigation, leading you down the wrong path and potentially delaying the discovery of the truth. There is no direct "game over" condition, but your deductions impact the story.
How detailed is the evidence? Are we just looking at images, or are there reports, audio logs, and other forms of evidence?
Evidence comes in many forms, including images, documents, and audio recordings. You need to analyze all types of evidence to understand the full picture.
If I am stuck, are there any hints or a hint system to help me forward in the investigation?
The game provides a hint system. However, it is designed to be subtle, providing clues rather than giving direct answers. These hints will point to the relevant scene, time, and possible evidence connections.
Do the different crime scenes share the same map, or does each time period feature a unique environment?
Each crime scene will feature the same general locations, but they will vary, showing the evolution of the environment over time. You will examine the same spaces in the different eras.
