ASUS ROG Ally 2 PC gaming handheld information surfaces
It appears that ASUS will likely debut its ROG Ally 2 PC gaming handheld during Computex 2025. Initially, there was an April Fool teaser from ASUS, and now we have leaked images and detailed specifications for the device (courtesy of Huang514613 and 91 Mobiles).
The leaked images depict two models of the handheld: a black variant and a white variant. The black model includes a distinct “Xbox” button located on the left side of the screen, while the white version features a more standard button in that position.
Rumors suggest that Microsoft is planning to introduce an Xbox OS for portable Windows gaming devices. If true, ASUS’ ROG Ally 2 could become one of the first devices to utilize this platform.

In general, the new ROG Ally handheld seems to adopt a more “controller-like” design compared to its predecessor. Reports from 91 Mobiles indicate that the device might offer up to 64GB of memory and is equipped with LPDDR5-8533 memory, significantly faster than the LPDDR5-6400 memory found in the original ROG Ally.
These leaks regarding the ROG Ally 2 imply that ASUS intends to produce several variants of its upcoming Ally handheld, potentially featuring different processors, RAM configurations, and storage options, especially as AMD is developing several new Ryzen Z2 series processors. It is anticipated that ASUS will share more comprehensive information about their upcoming handheld at Computex 2025.
The ROG Ally 2 is generating plenty of buzz with its next-gen potential—but if you're looking for premium handheld gaming without the wait, the ROG Ally X delivers. With enhanced battery life, improved ergonomics, and performance that's already winning over gamers, it's everything you need, right now.
