Arc B580 set to gain XeSS 3 multi-frame generation support in February
Alongside the launch of its Panther Lake mobile processors, Intel also rolled out its first GPU driver supporting XeSS 3 Multi-Frame Generation (MFG). This debut enabled XeSS MFG on Panther Lake’s Xe3-based integrated graphics. Intel has now confirmed that XeSS 3 with Multi-Frame Generation will arrive on the Intel Arc B580 graphics card this month.
Given that the Arc B580 already outperforms the GeForce RTX 4060 in many games, it stands out as a compelling choice - especially as ongoing memory shortages continue to push up prices for both GeForce RTX and Radeon RX GPUs.
The Arc B580 is also set to gain a feature that, until now, has been exclusive to NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 50 Series in the desktop market. In a conversation with Tom’s Guide, Intel confirmed that the Arc B580 will receive XeSS 3 with Multi-Frame Generation support this February. Similar to DLSS, Intel’s frame generation technology is AI-driven, and XeSS 3 MFG is already live on Intel’s latest Panther Lake processors.

Much like DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, Intel’s implementation uses AI to generate and insert up to three additional frames alongside the XeSS Super Resolution output. In supported titles, this can dramatically boost perceived smoothness, pushing performance from around 60 FPS to well over 200 FPS.
Beyond the Arc B580, Intel has confirmed that XeSS 3 with Multi-Frame Generation will be rolled out across the entire Arc lineup. This includes GPUs found in Meteor Lake, Lunar Lake, and even first-generation Alchemist desktop cards such as the Intel Arc A770.
This broad compatibility places XeSS 3 in a unique position compared to rival technologies. DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and the upcoming Dynamic Frame Generation are limited to NVIDIA’s RTX 50 Series, while AMD’s AI-powered Frame Generation is exclusive to RDNA 4-based Radeon RX 9000 desktop GPUs.
With XeSS 3 promising smoother gameplay and improved visual clarity, Intel is giving gamers more accessible ways to enhance performance without premium pricing. The Intel Arc B580 is designed to take full advantage of XeSS 3, offering strong performance, sharp image quality, and excellent value for modern PC gaming.
