Necrons Awaken in Rogue Trader's Infinite Museion DLC

Rogue Trader’s Infinite Museion DLC Unleashes Necrons
Gameplay

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader is expanding once again with The Infinite Museion, a new story DLC that dives deep into the ancient horrors and secrets of the Necron race. Developed by Owlcat Games, the expansion introduces players to the legendary Necron collector Trazyn the Infinite, one of the most iconic characters in Warhammer 40K lore.

The story revolves around a mysterious vault known as the Infinite Museion, a massive archive filled with priceless relics, forbidden technology, and dangerous historical artifacts hidden for millennia. Players will explore forgotten chambers, uncover lost knowledge, and decide whether to cooperate with Trazyn or oppose his unpredictable schemes.

New Implants and Companion Add Fresh Build Possibilities

Beyond its narrative focus, The Infinite Museion also introduces major gameplay additions that could significantly change character progression and combat strategies. The biggest feature is a new cybernetic implant system, allowing players to enhance their Rogue Trader and companions with powerful mechanical augmentations. These upgrades appear heavily inspired by Adeptus Mechanicus technology, offering both combat advantages and darker roleplaying implications.

This DLC also adds a new companion named Eogunn Februs, a mysterious Tech-Priest accompanied by a servo-skull assistant. According to Owlcat, the expansion is fully integrated into the main campaign, meaning its quests, choices, and encounters naturally blend into the core story rather than existing as isolated side content.

Ancient Necron Secrets Bring a Darker Side to Rogue Trader

The overall tone of the DLC leans heavily into the cosmic mystery and gothic sci-fi atmosphere that defines the Warhammer 40K universe. Ancient Necron tombs, reality-defying machines, and morally complex decisions are expected to play a central role throughout the experience. For fans who enjoyed the lore-heavy exploration and narrative-driven gameplay of Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, The Infinite Museion looks like a strong continuation of the game’s darker, more philosophical storytelling.
