RuneScape: Dragonwilds Launches Its First Check-In Survey

RuneScape: Dragonwilds opens its first Check-In Survey after 1.0
Updates & Patches

Just over two weeks after leaving Early Access, RuneScape: Dragonwilds has reached a stage where player feedback is becoming especially important. Jagex has now launched its 1.0 Check-In Survey, a regular community survey that will remain open until 7 AM GMT on October 8, 2026. The announcement itself is fairly brief, but its timing is more interesting: the studio is still refining the 1.0 experience while also preparing hotfix 1.0.0.7 for release across platforms following several technical issues reported in recent days.

Jagex gathers feedback while stabilizing the post-launch experience

RuneScape: Dragonwilds officially reached version 1.0 on September 15, ending more than a year in Early Access and expanding to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. The release also completed Kuldra's Saga with Scorned Wilderness, the Regicide quest, Kuldra the God-Eater, and crossplay, making 1.0 the game's biggest milestone since its Early Access debut.

Rather than treating that release as the finish line, Jagex is continuing its development approach with a strong focus on community feedback. The new 1.0 Check-In Survey is described as one of its regularly scheduled surveys and should take around five to ten minutes to complete. It gives the studio another source of direct feedback now that players have had some time to experience the new content and systems introduced with 1.0.

The survey also arrives while Dragonwilds is still dealing with several post-launch issues. Jagex is currently processing version 1.0.0.7 across platforms, with the hotfix targeted for release on October 2. Full patch notes have not yet been published, but the timing coincides with the studio's work on a new character save issue affecting consoles. The problem can cause inventory, skill progression, and quest progression to carry over incorrectly when players move between worlds. Until a hotfix is available, Jagex has advised players to avoid world-hopping with the same character.

This is separate from the save corruption issue that appeared around the launch of 1.0. According to Jagex, roughly 1,000 players on consoles and PC Game Pass were affected by that earlier problem. The studio has already introduced measures to prevent further cases, while a solution for saves that were already corrupted is currently targeted for version 1.0.1 in mid-October.

Looking at the bigger picture, opening a new survey while hotfixes are still being rolled out shows that RuneScape: Dragonwilds remains an active work in progress even after leaving Early Access. Jagex previously confirmed that the game will continue receiving monthly updates, with the winter Luminance update already planned as the next major step.

If you're currently exploring Ashenfall, you can take part in the 1.0 Check-In Survey before October 8 and send your feedback directly to Jagex.
