The new Battlefield will be unveiled next week

The fans of the Battlefield series must be burning with anticipation right now.  It's been about two and a half years since Battlefield V was released, and while the game has benefited from regular content additions, it's time to look to the future of the franchise. Rumors have been circulating for months now, and both DICE and Electronic Arts have been teasing the game in dribs and drabs, not to mention leaks. All of this has largely raised the hype and expectations of the players regarding the next Battlefield.

It looks like they're finally going to get some answers to the questions they've been asking. Indeed, a tweet posted on the official Battlefield account on May 10th announced that the game would be unveiled this month. Even though the message was not the most explicit, it left little room for doubts. But everything has been confirmed today, as we got to know via Twitter that Battlefield will be unveiled on June 9th.

In a week's time, at 4.30 pm CEST we will discover what this new installment is all about. A link to the game's official YouTube channel was added in a second tweet, and it seems that's where you'll have to go on D-Day. We have had very little information about the new Battlefield so far, and it's more or less summarized in a recent statement from Oskar Gabrielson, General Manager at DICE:

"It has everything we love about Battlefield – and takes all of it to the next level. Epic scale. All-out military warfare. Crazy, unexpected moments. Game-changing destruction. Massive battles, packed with more players and mayhem than ever before. All brought to life with the power of next-gen consoles and PCs."

An animation published in another tweet suggests that this new Battlefield will offer a modern approach to warfare, as was the case with Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. But we'll have to wait until next week to know it for sure.
