Zombie Cure Lab is coming to console

Zombie Cure Lab, a unique sandbox base-building and management simulation game developed by Thera Bytes GmbH and published by Aerosoft GmbH, will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on May 27, 2025, along with the full version on PC (Steam). This release marks the game's transition from Early Access to a full version, bringing its unique zombie-curing gameplay to console players.

Released in Early Access on December 7, 2022, for PC, it offers a fresh twist on the zombie genre by focusing on curing the undead rather than eliminating them. Set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies, players lead a team of scientists dedicated to reversing the zombification process. The goal is to build and manage a high-tech laboratory capable of capturing, treating, and ultimately curing zombies to restore humanity.

To end the zombie apocalypse, Zombie Cure Lab features establishing a secure facility by constructing walls, fences, and various rooms, gathering and processing resources like food, wood, and stone to sustain your operations. Utilize freezing guns to capture zombies during nightly attacks. Transport them to treatment chambers to transform them into "Humbies"—half-human, half-zombie hybrids who can assist in your lab's operations.

After treating the zombie and turning them into "Humbies", players need to manage the mood and well-being of Humbies while also making sure to keep the research camp fortified against nightly zombie assaults. Players also need to prepare for nightly zombie waves by setting up strategic defenses, as effective planning is crucial to protect your scientists and Humbies. No one said curing zombies would be easy work, after all!  

The game has received mixed reviews on Steam, with 69% of 322 user reviews being positive. Players appreciate its innovative approach to the zombie genre and the depth of its management systems. However, some have noted areas for improvement as it continues development in Early Access.
