    FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use the same batch of harvested Z-Cells for multiple cure attempts?
No, each attempt to synthesize a cure requires a fresh batch of harvested Z-Cells. Once used, they are consumed in the process.
If my lab is raided while a cure is in progress, do I lose the progress on that specific cure?
Yes, any ongoing cure synthesis is immediately halted and the resources involved, including the current Z-Cell batch, are lost upon a successful raid.
Does the effectiveness of the cure vary based on the Z-Cell source I harvested it from?
Yes, different zombie types yield Z-Cells with varying potencies. Selecting the right source is crucial for higher cure success rates.
Can I research upgrades that increase the maximum number of simultaneous cure attempts?
No, you are limited to synthesizing one cure at a time to maintain the tension and strategic decision-making around resource allocation.
How does the 'Mutation Rate' stat impact the cure process?
A higher Mutation Rate in the Z-Cells increases the chances of cure failure, requiring more advanced filtering and stabilization techniques.
Are there negative consequences for incorrectly mixing reagents during the synthesis phase?
Yes, incorrect reagent combinations can lead to explosive failures, causing loss of resources and potentially damaging lab equipment.
Does successfully curing a zombie of a specific type unlock any research advantages?
Yes, successfully curing a zombie unlocks advanced research related to that specific zombie type, allowing for more efficient cure crafting later on.
Can I create multiple vaccines to sell?
The goal of the game is to find a cure for all zombies. Vaccines are not craftable.
How do I defend my lab from zombie raids?
You can research defensive upgrades and construct traps to slow or eliminate the zombies trying to attack and loot your lab. These defense are separate from the cure process.
Is there a limit to the number of times I can attempt to cure a zombie?
No, there is no limit to the number of cure attempts. However, each attempt requires resources, and failures can be costly.
