Armello is a strategy game in the form of a board game. The kingdom of Armello suffers from corruption and you must save it by taking the place of the king. Playable alone or in multiplayer for up to four players, the goal of the game is to take overthrow the king. For this, different strategies are available to you to achieve the victory. The game takes place in nine rounds, each with a day phase and a night phase, having effects on certain characters. You can play eight characters divided into four clans: the wolves, with Thane and Rive, fearsome fighters; rabbits, with Amber and Barnabas, exploration specialists; the rats, with Zosha and Mercurio, using trickery; and the bears, with Sana and Brown, followers of magic. Each clan and each character has its own characteristics. You will be able to equip two objects at the beginning of the game, a ring and an amulet, to improve certain abilities or to benefit from bonuses. Royal guards and plagues (sorts of evil crows) are also spread across the plateau. At the beginning of each turn, you can also draw cards that you can use throughout the game. The plateau is composed of huts, each of them with different effects, plains, forests, mountains, swamps, colonies and stone circles. Perils are also present randomly on the board, symbolized by a banner with a skull. These are challenges that you will have to surpass, otherwise, an unpleasant surprise awaits you. To ensure victory you have several options: accumulating a maximum of prestige points, accumulating more corruption than the king, fighting and killing the king, or using the spirit stones.
