Team Ninja surprised everyone announcing the development of Nioh 2, the sequel to their successful Nioh game. The game will be tied to the original game's narrative, but its location and the period when it takes place are a mystery. There are still many unknowns about this game, but we know that William Adams will not make a return. Instead, there will be a character creator that lets players customize the protagonist’s look and gender. Players will also be able to use Yokai skills, powers and moves this time, as revealed in the reveal trailer. No changes in the difficulty of the game either, so expect a hardcore game, but with "more satisfying deaths for players" as per de words of the developers.
